Information
Leopard geckos come in a wide variety of colors with dark colored spots prominent throughout their body. These lizards originate from the grassy and rocky regions in Asia, Afghanistan, India, Iran and Pakistan.
Leopard geckos have distinct characteristics such as lacking toe pads, having outer ears and eyelids. Their keen sense of sight as well as hearing allows them to easily escape predators or to find their prey.
Just like most lizards, leopard geckos are cold blooded and ectothermic. Meaning they are unable to generate their own body heat. Instead, they absorb energy while they sleep and hunt at the night.
They are insectivores, so they consume insects such as mealworms, superworms and Dubai roaches. All of which we supply here at CritterFins!
